Assistant Baseball Coach Kevin Grant joined Marshalltown Community College baseball staff in Fall of 2025.

Grant is an accomplished baseball coach and U.S. Navy veteran with a proven record of success in player development, recruitment, and team leadership across collegiate and summer league programs. He most recently served as Associate Head Coach at Cornell College, where he directed recruiting operations, implemented defensive strategy, and oversaw player development and academic monitoring. Prior to Cornell, he contributed to the University of Evansville baseball program, designing outfield training sessions, assisting with scouting, and supporting daily practice and game operations. Across both programs, Grant helped build athlete-centered cultures focused on accountability, fundamentals, and holistic growth.

In addition to his collegiate experience, he has coached in the summer collegiate ranks, served as Hitting Coach for the Edenton Steamers of the The Old North State League. He also managed the Texarkana Rhinos of the Mid America League, leading the franchise through its inaugural season while developing a competitive and disciplined team culture. Across both programs, he has played key roles in game strategy, player mentorship, logistics coordination, and community engagement.

Before transitioning to college and summer league coaching, Grant spent several years with Prestige Travel Baseball, where he served as Vice President, Recruiting Coordinator, and Coach. In this role, he mentored over 200 athletes annually, guiding them through the college recruiting process and developing individualized training programs to enhance skills, fundamentals, and overall player growth.

Earlier in his coaching career, he also worked with Andrean High School, developing pitching programs, coordinating offseason strength training, and supporting varsity-level competition.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Grant served honorably as a Crash Crewman aboard the U.S.S. Kearsarge (LHD 3), leading firefighting and rescue operations during deployment to the Middle East. His military service continues to shape his leadership approach—defined by discipline, preparation, and teamwork both on and off the field.
