MARSHALLTOWN – Marshalltown Community College (MCC) is officially building its foundation on the lanes, announcing the first six student-athletes to join the inaugural bowling program for the Fall 2026 season. This signing class features a heavy dose of local talent, as all six signees previously competed for Marshalltown High School (MHS).
The men's roster added three athletes who have competed alongside one another since the 7th grade. Their long-standing chemistry is backed by elite production, as all three finished their senior seasons ranked in the top 25 for average in Iowa's 3A class.
Carter McCready (BCLUW): A standout individual state tournament qualifier, McCready delivered a massive 708 series during his senior campaign. He finished the year with a 211 average, ranking him 16th among 3A seniors.
Jayden Beichley (GMG): Beichley put together a dominant season, highlighted by an average of over 250 across three consecutive meets. His performance earned him 2nd Team All-State honors, alongside 1st Team All-District and All-Conference recognition, finishing 6th in the 3A senior class.
Porter Niedermann (MHS): Niedermann earned All-Tournament Team honors at the highly competitive Muscatine tournament. He concluded his senior season with a 207 average, ranking 24th in the class.
"I've had the privilege of coaching Carter, Jayden, and Porter since they were in 7th grade," says MCC Head Bowling Coach Nate Clark. "All three finishing in the top 25 is a testament to their consistency, work ethic, and growth over the years."
The women's inaugural class brings a mix of championship experience and proven leadership to the Tigers' program.
Sydney May (MHS): A member of the MHS Class of 2025, May spent this past season serving as an assistant coach. After finishing her playing career with a 141 average, she transitions to the collegiate level bringing valuable leadership experience to the new roster.
Camilla Thomas (East Marshall): Thomas is a proven post-season performer, having qualified for the state tournament last season where she bowled career-high scores. While her 157 average is strong, it was tempered by an injury mid-season, and she is expected to be a major contributor for the Tigers.
Ariana Villagomez (MHS): Though Villagomez finished with a 129 average, her senior season was defined by a rapid upward trajectory. Her development and improvement late in the year suggest a high ceiling as she enters the collegiate ranks.
As MCC prepares for its first season of competition in 2026, these six athletes represent a significant step in establishing a competitive culture for the Tigers' bowling program.
