MCC volleyball fights hard in season finale
The Marshalltown Community College Tiger volleyball team wrapped up their 2025 season battling against Ellsworth Community College in their final home game. Though the Tigers fell in four sets with scores of 27-25, 20-25, 15-25, and 25-27, the team showed tremendous heart and determination, pushing the match to a thrilling four-set conclusion.

Though the Tigers fell in four sets with scores of 27-25, 20-25, 15-25, and 25-27, the team showed tremendous heart and determination, pushing the match to a thrilling four-set conclusion.
In the first set, MCC edged out ECC 27-25, setting the tone for a close, hard-fought evening. The kept the margin tight in every set, particularly the final, nail-biting 25-27 contest.
Leading the offensive charge for the Tigers was Morghan Harvey, who delivered a powerful performance with a team-high 15 kills. Right behind her was Violet Hougland, who contributed 11 kills to the effort. On the defensive end, libero Callie Swanson was a powerhouse, leading the team with 33 digs.
Every set was a battle in this match up as the teams went point for point.
