Sluggish Tigers fall on the road to Iowa Lakes
Estherville, IA—The Marshalltown Community College men’s basketball team could not recover from a slow start and the Tigers dropped an 89-50 contest on the road to Iowa Lakes Community College on Wednesday night.

Estherville, IA—The Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team could not recover from a slow start and the Tigers dropped an 89-50 contest on the road to Iowa Lakes Community College on Wednesday night. Brandon Simmons (Harlem, NY/Teaneck) led MCC with nine points and nine rebounds.
Iowa Lakes built an early 16-5 lead and never looked back as the Tigers struggled on both ends of the court. MCC shot a season-low 28.1 percent from the floor and committed a season-high 28 turnovers in the loss. On the defensive end, Iowa Lakes shot 44.8 against MCC and knocked down 10 three-point shots, the most the Tigers have allowed in a game this year.
MCC wraps up the first half of the season at home on Thursday night against Iowa Central Community College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM.
