The Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team showed their resilience last night, repeatedly clawing back from deficits to force a down-to-the-wire finish against Sauk Valley Community College. The Tigers ultimately fell just one point short in a 59-58 heartbreaker.
Tristan Christopher spearheaded the Tigers' comeback efforts, leading the scoring with 15 points. Sean Conway, tallied 11 points, and Tre'Von Coney, finished with 10.
The Tigers will look to bounce back immediately as they continue their home stretch with two games this week. They host Grand View University JV, Monday, Jan. 19, followed by Graceland University JV on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Both tip-offs are scheduled for 7:00 pm.
