Tiger Men’s Basketball Head Into Conference Play with Back-to-Back Wins

On Monday, Jan. 19, the Tigers opened the week with a 75-67 victory over Grand View University JV. MCC led the entire game, powered by a standout performance from Tre'Von Coney, who finished with a game-high 27 points while shooting 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. Hassan Bush was a force inside, contributing 22 points on a nearly perfect 10-of-11 from the field. Bush also controlled the glass for the Tigers, leading the team with 7 rebounds to secure the win.
The momentum continued on Tuesday, Jan. 20, as the Tigers dominated Graceland University JV in a 94-62 blowout. Coney once again led the scoring charge with 22 points, but the victory featured a balanced attack with several Tigers reaching double figures. Antoine Glasper and Tristan Christopher each added 14 points to the scoreboard, while Tavon Rhodes contributed 13 points to help the Tigers cruise to their second straight home win.
With these two victories under their belt, the Tigers now turn their attention to the start of the conference season. The team is scheduled to travel to West Burlington to face Southeastern Community College this Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7 pm.
